Approve each booking first

Some services need a look before you say yes: a long session, a large group, a first visit.

  1. Open the service and press Change next to Booking rules.
  2. Tick I approve each booking before it’s confirmed, then Save.
The Booking rules section of a service, with I approve each booking before it's confirmed ticked.
1 Customers send a request instead of booking straight away.

Customers then send a request. The time is kept for them while you decide. Requests wait on the Requests page, soonest first, with how long each one has waited.

The Requests page: requests grouped by when they are, each with Confirm and Suggest a time.
1 Confirm checks the time is still free and confirms it; the customer gets a confirmation. 2 Suggest a time offers another time instead.

Home shows how many requests are waiting, so none are forgotten.

Ask your own questions

  1. Open the service and press Change next to Questions we ask.
  2. Press Add question, write it and choose the answer type. Tick Required if it must be answered.
  3. Save.
The Questions we ask section of a service, with three questions and Add question.
1 Add a question: short answer, long answer or a tick box.

Customers answer them on the booking form. The answers appear on the booking when you open it from the calendar or the list.

Keep questions short and only ask what you need. Every extra question makes the form a little longer on a phone.

A booking form with the service's own questions: wedding date, who else needs hair or makeup, and a tick box.
